Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger has totally ruled out that young Mexican forward Carlos Vela will be able to return into the Arsenal Squad for Sunday’s crucial battle with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Wenger told Arsenal TV Online: “Diaby is not yet back in normal training. “He progresses very well but we will still have to wait until Saturday. He is a maybe. Campbell is back in squad, Eduardo is already ruled out.
“We still have Carlos Vela out too. Apart from that [there are no more changes from last Sunday]. Theo is back and available. Diaby is the question mark we have. All the others are longer term injuries.”
The 20 years old is still missing out on fitness, because of his little knee injury which could force him out for another 2 weeks. Wenger is now very short in the offensive area, as he has to handle injuries of Robin van Persie, Eduardo as well as Carlos Vela.
It is definately a shame for Carlos that he does not get the chance to be involved in big matches like the Manchester United one last Sunday, as well as the now upcoming Chelsea clash on Sunday at Stamford Bridge. The chance that he will get back for the Liverpool match is rated by 20/80% !
It is a very crucial battle for the Gunners at Stamford Bridge after they were beaten by Manchester United last weekend at their home ground.
